Special Needs Ministry

We welcome families with special needs children. Our goal is to provide special needs children with tailored content and special care lovingly taught by trained, caring members of our congregation.

This ministry aims to support special children and to recognize their potential spiritual growth by the study of God's Word, Scripture memory, fellowship, prayer, and service to others. It also provides an excellent opportunity for our youth and adults to be blessed by serving in one of the following roles:

  • Teacher/Caregiver
  • Volunteer for various aspects of our ministry
  • Shadow (following the child  that may need a more one-on-one direction)

If you are interested in the blessing of working with God's "special" children, please contact Dan or Mikki Weddle.

“The eye cannot say to the hand, ‘I don’t need you!’ And the head cannot say to the feet, ‘I don’t need you!’ On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor….But God has combined the member of the body and has given greater honor to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other” (1 Cor. 12:21-23a, 24b-25).
